Attacks/Defenses:
Bite: 1d4. Can also shoot its spines up to 30-feet away. Two spines can be fired
per attack (4 total in an attack sequence) and each spine does 1d4 damage. A
Quarak can use this ability 10 times before running out of full-size spines to
shoot. It takes two hours to fully regenerate the lost spines.
Description:
Quaraks, or Quill Rats, are medium-sized brown or black coloured rodents that are
related to porcupines, though they have gained the ability to launch their
spines at enemies. They inhabit temperate woodlands and eat various plants and
insects. They are only aggressive if frightened or if their young are in danger.
If one can approach a Quarak cautiously and earn the creature’s trust, they
can make very loyal pets and animal companions.
